Ye Mighty - Fuse
No they Didn’t!
My oh my. What a tune we got here. Ye mighty step up to drop this wicked cover version of one of the biggest and sickest tunes of last year, probably Hudson Mohawke’s most recognized track - Fuse.
I especially like the fact that though it is a live band cover, this version does still keep more than a few electronic elements, nurturing the original psychedellic synthesized vibe of the original, and essentialy just, well, fusing it with the horns and other organic instruments (there’s a flute too!).
Hey you know what? This reminds me of another version of this modern classic worth a mention - Depone’s remix of Fuse. Nothing too big or brilliant, but this remix takes Hud Mo’s tune and shapes it into a beat scene wobbly 8-bit dubsteppish sort of affair, and why the heck not I say.
