All Of The Lights

Some songs were simply made to be remixed. I remember getting excited about Stac’s Turn That Light Out album a few months prior to it’s release last year, but eventually not really being taken by it, even though it sure was a nice album. But those songs deserved more, not to mention Stac with her sweet vocals and great delivery. And so I was very happy when later that year Wah Wah 45s released The Remixes Vol One, which was exactly what I was missing.
But that was not all. Another six months pass, and yesterday a new remixes album, Vol Two, was released, and I think it might even be better than the first one, I mean, any album that opens with a Kidkanevil tune is already on the right track as far as I’m concerned. With other remixes coming from Alex Patchwork, Scrimshire, Hint, Blue Daisy and Ashley Beedle, plus some more lesser known but equally as talented producers, this album covers a large grooveful spectrum of beats, soul, broken nuggets, deep house and lots in between, maintaining a very smooth and relaxed feel, warm and gentle, quite dreamy and a bit trippy at times. Big up to all the producers involved, and to whoever was in charge of the selection and compilation of both remixes albums. Head over to bandcamp to buy yourself some digital sugar.
