There’s always room for ANOTHER Aaliyah rework. Sure.

This one’s by Tony Quattro, who we’re used to relate to way more dancefloor oriented material. On this remix he keeps the bounce, but puts less of the ounce on the beats, but rest assure in the other 3 remixes on the free download offered he’s back to his usual tricks and does that just as fine.

Ssaliva / WANDA GROUP - Birth Body

Svetlana Industries, one of the most interesting and boundary pushing labels out there in recent years, have launched a new imprint under the name WOETONE with this splendid dreamy release featuring Ssaliva and WANDA GROUP. WOETONE aims to shine a light on music as challenging and engulfing as released on the mother label, that couldn’t find its home there due to being a bit less target focused, more spacious, with a higher tendency for floating, levitation, gliding and other forms of light flight.

This release sees Ssaliva taking us to very ambientesque terrains with layers of synths and arps spread over three luscious tracks, while WANDA GROUP going even deeper into whatever realm Ssaliva was leading to over one 13 minute long walk through all sorts of loose magical and somewhat mysterious happenings.

Quite thrilled with this release as it’s another strong sign that ambient music is making its comeback, perhaps the first electronic musical genre to take its second retro run, and mostly because it means we can expect some more of that unmistakable Svetlana quality to flow via more channels.

Big up as usual you guys!

Boy do I love getting good music in my inbox. Check out this sweet sweet remix, not the most sophisticated piece of music you’ve heard, but who wants to be smart all the time? This one’s just pure fun and colourful balloons.
I then recommend you proceed down Magnifik’s magnificient profile on soundcloud, and enjoy more goodness, such as the quite superb “So It Has Come To This”.
Hoping to be hearing much more from Magnifik in the future. Yes please.

Totally only wrote about Debian Blak and his free Aaliyah remixes EP just a week and a half ago, but I must mention him again now, with this new quite wonderful single out today. I’d run straight out and buy the single including HanC of SWAMP81 and Lion Gonzales’ remixes right away if it wasn’t available only at the evil evil iTunes.

This must be one of the best videos i’ve seen in a long while. Wonderful animation, sweet and trippy, joyful and creepy. Perfect match for quite a superb track in itself, out on Alphabet Heaven’s new EP, Siamese Burn. The way the music and the animation fit so right here feels as though they were made and had evolved together in symbiosis, and not one for the other. One of those times you wanna thank the good lord for bestowing the Music Video upon us. Love this.

Time seems to have taken Squarepusher to all new different realms of music, and I think it couldn’t have turned out better. This versiion of Ghostpoet’s single, taken from his coming new album, lifts the song to far reached higher grounds, this is just so perfect to my ears right now, I think I’ll skip the superlatives. Wow. Yes.

It’s been nearly a year since I first received some music from Neonfaith in my inbox, and it was this very song that I heard first. Was feeling it straight on, though it took a while to grasp what these guys were actually about, as they so naturally mix indie and electronic vibes together until you can’t be sure which is supposed to be the more dominant side. Since then I have been loving almost everyhting they send my way, and am very happy to keep spreading the word about this band, who desreve to be getting a lot of love from the world. Watch their first ever video for “Escape” that dropped just a few days ago, and do head on to their soundcloud if you liked what you heard, you won’t be disappointed!

A radio rip of this splendid Julio Bashmore and Jessie Ware collab has been around for a couple of weeks, but I waited out for something more decent and sharable. So here’s the brand new video, featuring Jessie Ware at her most beautiful, and I guess a lot of partying to make sure one understands this single is about the dancefloor, unlike Ware’s mellow and touching debut album.

This girl can do it all. She’s a keeper.

Flying Lotus - About that time//A glitch is a glitch

Hi.

It’s not everyday that your favourite TV show in the whole wide world gets a brand new Flying Lotus track to play out its closing credits.
I won’t even start going into how much I love and enjoy Adventure Time. In case you have never watched Adventure Time you need to stop reading and get with it NOW. You should watch Adventure Time. Hope I’m clear about this. Adventure Time.
Anyways, it actually makes so much sense, I’m surprised this hasn’t happened sooner. The people behind a show like this must be into the best kind of music out there. Many of them are gifted musicians themselves, I half know half bet. Some of the original music in Adventure Time has already been sounding quite FlyLoish, childishly Lo-Fi and freakingly superb, so having the real deal on the show is such a perfect and simple match.

Anyways. Do I like the track itself? Well, not really, it’s okay I guess. Does it matter? Nope. Does it make both Adventure Time and Flying Lotus come out even awesomer than they already were? Yes, yes it does.
