After a Japanese, a Russian and the New Zealand/Australian beat compilations, Finest Ego are back at it again, with yet another fine selection of beats, this time putting the spotlight on the UK/Ireland scene.

While these compilations are a very good way to get a good picture of local beat scenes round the world, it’s quite hard to find a different flavour to each location. That’s a good thing though. The beat scene is a global movement, with a few main spots driving it, and this compilation focuses on one of it’s most important main hubs.

Lots of different vibes are about in these 26 tracks, from the groovier more melodic beats to the boogie future funk flavoured ones, through the downtempo mellowed out beats all the way to the very electronic bleeped out kind. I love them all. Finest Ego United Kingdom/Ireland compilation is up for free listening for more than a week already, and should be available for (free?) download soon enough.
